METALLICS/REDS/WHITES…

…Just to name the top 3 trends on the red carpet at the Emmys. There were so many stunning looks at this year’s Emmy Awards. It is so hard to pick my Best Dressed. Taylor Schilling looked stunning in Zuhair Murad, January Jones in Prabal Gurung, Kristen Wiig in Vera Wang, Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan, Sofia Vergara in Roberto Cavalli, Sarah Hyland in Christian Siriano, Sarah Silverman in Marni, Hayden Panettiere in Lorena Sarbu, Gwen Stefani in Versace, Camila Alves in Zuhair Murad…just to name a few of my favorite looks. There were so many trends on the red carpet this year. Metallics, Reds, Whites, Illusion waists and train, Full bottoms, Color contrast, and unfortunately the group that just didn’t get it right this year. WHAT WAS LENA DUNHAM THINKING?!!!!

VMA BEST vs WORST

This years VMA award show was one of the best VMAs to date. All of the performances were outstanding even with some Nicki Minaj wardrobe malfunction going on. BEYONCE had the best performance of the night! That was the most amazing performance I have ever seen at a VMA show. The fashion is what we are talking about though. I was shocked to see a lot of bad dressed women on the red carpet this year. Although, there were some stunning ladies. Here’s a look at my BEST DRESSED women of the night, and my WORST DRESSED women of the night.

BEST DRESSED goes to RITA ORA

Altuzarra X Target

IMG_8227

Guess what’s hitting shelves September 14?! Altuzarra for Target! This collection is probably one of the best designer collections Target has ever had. This collection is very different from the other collaborations Target has had in the past. This f/w14-15 collection looks straight off the runway. Everything just looks so sophisticated, polished, chic, and expensive, but the entire collection ranges from $18 to $90. Here’s a sneak peek at the Altuzarra X Target collection hitting Target stores, Target.com, and Net-A-Porter Sept. 14!

Ladies of the Night

DSC_0805Had such a fun time Friday at Macy’s GLAMORAMA Fashion Rocks Fashion Show! Lineup included looks from Tommy Hilfiger, Weekend MaxMara, Men In Suits, INC, Macy’s Impulse, Hello Kitty, Denim Nation, Calvin Klein, and Diesel. And not to mention performances by…Jason Derulo and iHeartRadio Rising Star contest winner, Before You Exit. They aren’t the only ones who stole the show. Guests came dressed to perfection, and these ladies stole the show with their fashion forward looks.

Custom For Lolla

DSC_0753 DSC_0755 DSC_0760 DSC_0762 DSC_0774 DSC_0777 DSC_0780 DSC_0786 DSC_0787 DSC_0795DIY – Since I got completely drenched on day 3 of Lollapalooza…I wasn’t able to get the best images of my look… I am proud to say that I did not purchase this outfit, but I designed and sewed this outfit myself a few days before Lolla weekend. I bought a Burda style pattern for the culotte shorts, and then measured myself to create the halter top on my own. It took about three days to cut and sew, and it actually turned out perfect (better than last years)! So happy you guys FINALLY get to see the finished results! 😉

Culottes

imageCulottes – the new ‘gaucho pants’ that were popular when I was in middle school. The trend has found it’s way around the fashion cycle at last. This trend is perfect for summer and going into fall season. For summer, wear the culottes with a crop top, or a chiffon shirt tucked in. For fall season, I love the look with a slightly over-sized sweater or turtleneck paired with a long coat. I know this talk about fall is a little too soon…but I might be a little excited!
