Holy Squad?! Can Taylor Swift have a more popular and gorgeous group of friends? I don’t think so. This year’s VMA show was hosted by Miley Cyrus who changed into several barely there outfits throughout the night. Kanye West won the Vanguard award and is apparently running for president in 2020?! Justin Beiber performed his new single after 5 years and had a meltdown on stage, and who wasn’t in love with Taylor’s new music video? Besides all that nonsense, we really came to see the red carpet looks. I’ve listed my best dressed looks to worst dressed and the major trend of the night. Who was your best & worst dressed? Check out the looks below! -De
And.. none of my best dressed of the night were music artists, but Emily Ratajkowski looks stunning in this full Altuzarra look. Hailee Steinfeld is wearing a classy minimal white Stella McCartney jumpsuit and Lily Aldridge is wearing a simple Alexandre Vauthier Couture dress.
Gigi Hadid is wearing a yellow Emilia Wickstead jacquard dress and shorts. Taylor Swift looked cool and comfortable wearing a matching sequined houndstooth crop top and matching trousers by Ashish. Nicki Minaj looked flawless in a gold embellished sheer gown.
These ladies rocked the fringe trend of the night. Chrissy Teigen, always looking amazing, wore a Marchesa dress. Serayah is wearing a Herve Leger white fringe dress and Ciara is wearing a fringe Alexandre Vauthier Couture dress.
Exposing a little too much and suffocating the boobs is what I call these looks. Britney Spears looks amazing these days, but the dress is suffocating her and she needs to try a new look other than a mini. I’m a little dissappointed in Rita Ora considering last year she was on my best dressed list. I am not a fan of this feathered dress she wore and the top of it isn’t flattering. Lastly, our host Miley always surprises us with her outfit choices. Throughout the night she wore a lot of custom Versace and this was one of the craziest, but somehow only she can pull it off (but hunny please cover up a little).

FW15 Trend Report
Fall is right around the corner, so put those last summer looks to use. I put together some fall trends from the FW15 runway shows. Take a look at my favorite looks and top trends below:
“70s Show”– Creatures of the Wind & Zimmerman
A major inspiration from the catwalk are the 70s! Who doesn’t love the 70s trend? I can’t wait to bring this spring trend into Fall ’15. Creatures of the Wind dressed up the 70s look by adding a metallic pattern and an embellished neck-piece. This Zimmerman dress had Coachella written all over it. I want to wear this all day every day.
“Mod 60s”– Thakoon & Lisa Perry
Thakoon and Dior, had a modern 60s aesthetic at their presentations. Thakoon is known for his feminine modern pieces. I love how he layered a white turtleneck with a floral print dress and tall red boots. Lisa Perry’s spin on the 60s is a little more edgy. We love the touches of metallic gold in the dress paired with gold lace-up boots.
“Goth Chic”– Altuzarra & Givenchy
Altuzarra and Givenchy know how to turn a goth girl into a lady. This sexy sheer metallic dress from Altuzarra is the perfect evening look. I love everything from the thigh high boots to the choker and sleek hair. Givenchy on the other hand kept it dark and polished with a lady-like jacket with boots for an edgy look. And why not bedazzle the face while you’re at it?
“Feminine-Menswear”– Prabal Gurung & Marc Jacobs
Everyone’s trying out this new menswear look from the red carpet to the runways. Prabal Gurung and Marc Jacobs presented some menswear pieces while still looking feminine. I can’t get enough of this chic and sexy Prabal Gurung jumpsuit with sheer fabric down the sides. The Marc Jacobs pale pink suit is the perfect combination of menswear meets high fashion work attire.
“Minimalist” Proenza Schouler & Kaelen
One of my favorite looks is the on-going minimalistic trend. Proenza had some amazing pieces for their FW15 collections, so it was hard to pick just one. This grey cut out dress is so perfect and simple it doesn’t need anything else. Kaelen is one of my favorite new CFDA designers. I am obsessed with this furry bodysuit with matching cardigan because who really needs pants?

I decided not to design my outfit this year, as I have the past two years. Instead, I wanted to try out this new “see through” dress trend. Although the look can look somewhat revealing (parents may not approve), but I’d say it’s definitely appropriate for Lollapalooza. I paired my lace-up bodysuit from Missguided underneath the gold knitted dress with a pair of white Converse. You can even dress up the look by wearing a nude slip underneath with heels. I absolutely love this trend and want to know what you guys think? Shop the look below! – De
