Slips, Bombers, & Velvet

Happy (officially) fall! It’s been some time since an outfit post, so I wanted to share my favorite trends for fall. We just finished up fashion month, which not only means new SS17 collections, but STREET STYLE! One of my favorite reasons why I love fashion week is because some really great trends evolve. Some trends I saw were slip dresses, corset belts, athleisure, graphic tees, velvet, and bombers which lead me to my top favs…slips, bombers, and velvet boots. I love them as key pieces worn separately, but they also have a cool look worn together.  I’m wearing a thrifted slip dress, Zara bomber, and Public Desire velvet boots. Inspired by my look? Shop my entire (and similar) look below!

The 90s fashion trends aren’t going anywhere (TG). Denim, slips, and chokers are probably more popular now than they were in the 90s. Denim especially has taken on a whole new look seen all over the (runway) streets. An easy go-to 90s summer look is pairing denim shorts with a slip tank and oversized denim jacket. The look wouldn’t be complete without a choker too of course. Can’t get enough of the 90s fashion? Shop my look below!

p.s. My choker is Dlynn Jewelry designed by me – launching soon. Follow on Instagram @dlynnjewelry for updates!

Get Lolla Ready

Lollapalooza is this week, so I wanted to share some inspiration images from the best festival goers to help you prepare for your outfit. We know it takes some well thought out planning to pull off that effortless festival look (hehe). I’m really into keeping it simple this year with denim cut-offs and a bodysuit like Bella’s look. Wearing: Suki + Solaine Flutter Hem Dress

Suki + Solaine is the Chicago brand you need to know about. Founded by Creative Director Brandi Archer and designer Nicole Puszynski. This Flutter Hem Dress from their Summer ’16 collection is so comfortable and perfect to dress up or down for any occasion. I paired it with a bomber and lace-up heels, but for an even more casual look pair it with sneakers. Want to shop the collection? Shop online or check out where to buy here!

All about that mom butt

Why are the “mom jeans” just so cool now? I use to cringe if I saw a pair of straight leg jeans in middle school (it was all about the low rise and flare then obvi). Well, since we’ve come to our senses, the mom jeans are just an effortless casual fit (not too tight, not too loose). What do ya think? Shop the best mom butt denim below!

Coachella 2016 Trends

Sheer, sheer, sheer, and more sheer (and maybe a little fringe and denim) is all you need to be wearing (or not wearing) at Coachella. While I had major FOMO over the weekend, I still couldn’t resist looking at what everyone was wearing. Coachella fashion kicks off all the festival inspiration for the summer, and I’ve rounded up the top three trends for festival season including all the major key pieces. Styling tip: the one key for festival fashion is accessorize! Accessorize with a head piece, hair accessories, choker, statement jewelry, belts, scarves, & of course face jewelry (like-Body Bauble). Shop the festival looks below!

The Must Have Color For Spring

image

This color is a major trend right now and also my new favorite color. The blush pink (also known as a dusty pink or rose) is such a pretty tone for all skin types. Blush has been seen on the Balmain runway (Gigi’s ootd) and at Stella McCartney. This color is the one you need to add to your closet for spring. Shop more blush below!

The New Denim Cut

Raw hem, crop, and flare are all the details that make up the new denim trend. The cropped kick flare denim have been seen on many street style goers during fashion month, and also a great piece to transition into spring. Styling tip: These pants are the best way to show off your shoes, so make sure to wear a killer pair of statement boots or heels. Find out more on how to style the trend and shop the perfect pair below!
