It’s no surprise that the number one trend for fall/winter is velvet. Seen all over street style goers during fashion month, the trend is so luxe and looks good on every form of clothing/accessory. Velvet is the perfect staple piece for those holiday parties. Shop my favorite velvet pieces below!

Wearing: Suki + Solaine Flutter Hem Dress

Suki + Solaine is the Chicago brand you need to know about. Founded by Creative Director Brandi Archer and designer Nicole Puszynski. This Flutter Hem Dress from their Summer ’16 collection is so comfortable and perfect to dress up or down for any occasion. I paired it with a bomber and lace-up heels, but for an even more casual look pair it with sneakers. Want to shop the collection? Shop online or check out where to buy here!

The Most Flattering & Affordable One-Pieces

One-piece- Victoria’s Secret Crochet Monokini

Let’s say one-pieces are probably the most flattering swimsuits right now, but some can be a little much with tons of cutouts and unflattering silhouettes. I’m all about the one-piece and definitely prefer it over a two-piece. I’ve picked out some of the most flattering and affordable one-pieces for you guys to shop below!

The Overalls

We just can’t get over OVERALLS. These will always be a #TrendTuesday inspiration. In my opinion overalls are a great go-to piece whether you want to look dressy or casual (with heels or flats). These say “I’m automatically a cool girl.” Shop my fav overalls below (especially the flare).

All about that mom butt

Why are the “mom jeans” just so cool now? I use to cringe if I saw a pair of straight leg jeans in middle school (it was all about the low rise and flare then obvi). Well, since we’ve come to our senses, the mom jeans are just an effortless casual fit (not too tight, not too loose). What do ya think? Shop the best mom butt denim below!

Coachella 2016 Trends

image

Sheer, sheer, sheer, and more sheer (and maybe a little fringe and denim) is all you need to be wearing (or not wearing) at Coachella. While I had major FOMO over the weekend, I still couldn’t resist looking at what everyone was wearing. Coachella fashion kicks off all the festival inspiration for the summer, and I’ve rounded up the top three trends for festival season including all the major key pieces. Styling tip: the one key for festival fashion is accessorize! Accessorize with a head piece, hair accessories, choker, statement jewelry, belts, scarves, & of course face jewelry (like-Body Bauble). Off-the-Shoulder & Flare

image

Two trending items I love right now are off-the-shoulder tops and flare pants. There are so many great basic off-the-shoulder tops to pair with a casual or dressier look. Styling tip: looks best with high-waist bottoms. The top instantly makes any outfit look more chic. I paired my h&m top with these super comfortable bell bottom Pixie Market pants. Styling tip: flares look best with statement heel boots and (moto or bomber) jacket. Shop more off-the-shoulder and flares below!

The Jacket Trend Everyone is Wearing

It’s the cool AF jacket we all want. The bomber jacket has been seen everywhere (especially on Gigi and Kendall). Another 90s/early 2000s throwback trend that has come back. If you remember Baby Phat, then you for sure had one. Designers have been adding in the bomber to their new collections, and it was seen all over street style goers during fashion weeks. This must have spring trend adds an instant cool girl vibe to your look. Shop simple satin or print bombers below! -De
