Get Lolla Ready

Lollapalooza is this week, so I wanted to share some inspiration images from the best festival goers to help you prepare for your outfit. We know it takes some well thought out planning to pull off that effortless festival look (hehe). I’m really into keeping it simple this year with denim cut-offs and a bodysuit like Bella’s look. The Most Flattering & Affordable One-Pieces

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

One-piece- Victoria’s Secret Crochet Monokini

Let’s say one-pieces are probably the most flattering swimsuits right now, but some can be a little much with tons of cutouts and unflattering silhouettes. I’m all about the one-piece and definitely prefer it over a two-piece. I’ve picked out some of the most flattering and affordable one-pieces for you guys to shop below!

Stripes on stripes

image

Stripes on stripes might sound a little cray, but in this case I think it works and is very trendy. Looks best paired with the same color scheme for the top and bottom. If it’s colorful keep it colorful, and if it’s neutral keep it all neutral. Shorts are from Zara and top is Urban Outfitters, but unfortunately purchased awhile ago and no longer available. Don’t worry though, I picked out some similar (even better) pieces you can shop below! -De

Lolla ’15 Look

image

I decided not to design my outfit this year, as I have the past two years. Instead, I wanted to try out this new “see through” dress trend. Although the look can look somewhat revealing (parents may not approve), but I’d say it’s definitely appropriate for Lollapalooza. I paired my lace-up bodysuit from Missguided underneath the gold knitted dress with a pair of white Converse. You can even dress up the look by wearing a nude slip underneath with heels. I absolutely love this trend and want to know what you guys think? Shop the look below! – De

Top 8 Beach Bag Essentials

Beach Bag

It’s finally beach season! Here are a list of my essentials when I pack for the beach.  First, a lovely tote bag by C x Mira Mikati. Since I rarely wear colorful clothing, at least my beach tote will be. Next up, I can’t forget a pair of cool shades and a hat to block the sun, and to keep my face from burning (worst feeling ever)!  If you have never tried Smashbox BB Cream now is the time! Instead of having heavy makeup on in the sun, this stuff is easy to put on and evens out your skin tone while being protected from the sun. I always need to get my tan on (with a little sun protection of course), but I love the dry oil spray because it doesn’t get your hands oily. Also, I need to keep my lips protected with lip balm! Last but not least, you may be thinking why are there panties and a lace bralette in your bag?! Well, who likes going home and sitting around in a wet bathing suit? Not me! I like to pack these so I can change into regular clothes after the beach if I’m going to be out all day. Naja has a lot of fun and colorful prints for the summer! They’re also into giving back by changing the lives of women by providing them with skills for employment, so you should check ’em out! Subscribe to Naja’s email on their homepage to receive 10% off your first bra purchase! Hope my essentials will prepare you for this weekend! -xo- De
