Statement Jacket & Boots

01

There’s nothing like adding a little statement piece to complete your outfit. I rarely wear color, but when I do it’s probably some cool vintage piece I found while thrifting. Since winter is pretty much here all people will really see are your jacket and boots, so why not make them stand out? Metallics and animal prints are the perfect statements to add to your outfit this winter. Shop my look below! -De

Layering Your Summer Pieces For Winter

20151101_mad_factor0612

Can’t wear some of your summer pieces for winter because they’re spaghetti straps and sleeveless? Well now you can wear those pieces by simply layering a basic turtleneck underneath and just throw on a jacket. I paired this vintage black jumpsuit I’ve had for awhile with a white turtleneck underneath and sneakers for a casual look, which can easily be dressed up with heels and a lace turtleneck. What do you think of this trend? Have styling questions? Message me & shop my look below! -De

Suede, Fringe, & Thigh Highs

image

One of the must haves for fall is suede! I’m obsessed with this suede belted shirt from Asos. I’m sure you’ve seen a good suede piece for fall and what better way than to pair it with a fringe staple skirt. Thigh high boots are another must have for fall. They look best paired with a shift dress or mini skirt and even a pair of skinny jeans. What do you think of these fall trends? Shop my look below! -De

The Scarf You Need This Fall

This trend has been seen all over the Rodarte SS16 runway, as well as street style stars. The skinny scarf is what you need to be wearing this fall to add a little something extra to your look. If you’re looking to keep warm, this may not be the best option. This trending scarf is mostly for style. Shop the trend below! – De

How to Wear Striped Pants Pt. 2

IMG_9947

It’s Friday, so I’m dressing up these striped pants for Pt. 2 of “How to Wear Striped Pants.” I just can’t get enough of my favorite lace-up bodysuit I bought in the summer from Missguided. It is the perfect top to wear for a night out. I love a good bodysuit with a pair of high waist pants like these paired with a leather jacket (because it is low 60s here..) and booties. You can dress up these striped pants with a bodysuit or a cute crop top always looks good with high waist trousers. Shop the look below! Happy Friday! -De

Dress Down Your Knit

DSC_0118

In my recent post: Dress Up Your Knit, I styled this Zara sweater with a Topshop metallic skirt. This week we are dressing down the knit. If you live in Chicago or somewhere that is starting to get 10 degrees already, you’ll want to be wearing a sweater at all times. I love this sweater because not only is it so stylish, but it keeps me so warm! I paired the knit with my black skinny jeans that I cut holes in, and my HM camel coat. Big knits look good with any skinny bottom and booties for a casual look. And did I mention my cool stiletto nails by Static Nails?  Yea, better get your nails did for the holidays and these are so easy to put on and pop off when you forget to paint your nails. Did I mention they are also reusable?! Check out the nails, where you can get my look, and other similar looks below! -De (Happy Thanksgiving!)

Trending: The Turtleneck

image

It’s finally that turtleneck season. It’s cool to wear turtlenecks now guys! I was never that big of a fan of them, but I’ve grown out of that phase. Turtlenecks are looking pretty cool on the street style ladies at every fashion week. There are so many cool ways to style “the turtleneck.” My favorite way is to pair it with a skirt or throw it on over a loose dress, and of course with some pants for the cooler days. I paired my vintage sweater with my Topshop quilted, pleather skirt, thigh high socks, and HM booties. Like the look? Check out where to shop the similar looks below! -De
